Ontwerper Indre Klimaite werkt regelmatig aan omvangrijke projecten die worden gekenmerkt door haar geëngageerde insteek. De mix van inhoudelijke verdieping en reflectie met zuivere typografie maken haar werk bijzonder eigenzinnig en karakteristiek. Ze pakt haar projecten bij voorkeur als een regisseur aan zodat ze verantwoordelijkheid heeft over alle lagen van het project.
Haar afkomst zorgt voor regelmatige bezoeken aan Vilnius om daar workshops en lezingen te geven. In september 2009 was zij met een indrukwekkende presentatie van het project Kompotas aanwezig op de Baltic Triënnale in haar thuisland. Het project ging over de teloorgang van een specifiek onderdeel van de Litouwse eetcultuur; de kantines. Voor dit project werkte ze samen met fotografe Isabella Rozendaal met wie ze in oktober 2009 bij LhGWR exposeerde.
Designer Indre Klimaite regularly works on large projects that are characterized by her engaged approach. The mix of substantive intensification and reflection with pure typography makes her work exceptionally headstrong and characteristic. Preferably she acts as a director and keeps all the responsibility to herself in regard to all the levels of the project. Her ancestry brings her to Vilnius frequently to give workshops en lectures. In September 2009 she gave an impressive presentation of the project Kompotas at the Baltic Triennial in her home country. The project deals with the downfall of a specific part of the Lithuanian eating culture: canteens. For this project she worked with photographer Isabella Rozendaal with whom she had an exhibition in October 2009 at LhGWR.
